Arcani Finds
"Arcani Ritrovamenti" is the new personal exhibition by Gianfalco Masini at the Circolo CasAle, curated by Marzia Martelli and Diego Alexander, which will last until 05 November 2017.We wait for you Monday, October 16th from 6.00 pm for an aperitif with the artist on the prestigious terrace of CasAle.Gianfalco Masini was born in Lucca in 1945, he began painting activity at the end of the seventies, participating in exhibitions and awards in which he received flattering consents. In 1975 he held his first solo exhibition in the Spampanato gallery in Lucca. He has exhibited in personal and qualified exhibitions, in many Italian and foreign cities. In the artistic creation of Gianfalco Masini surreality goes on an ambiguous terrain, in which the form often alludes to something different, in a game of references and evocations, suspended between the narration and the dream, which does not fear internal contradictions and often emphasizes them through the gaze of those who have traveled a lot, sometimes nostalgic and sometimes ironic, capable of transforming each small encounter into something of magic. The landscapes of memory come alive with legendary characters, figures created by the wind, magnificent fantastic animals, archaeological finds, sand architectures, everyday objects found and recovered from their abandonment. Imagination takes flight and reality becomes only a pretext, it is the code, the shared language that vivifies and translates its Theater of the soul. Many critics have been interested in his work. Ernesto Borelli, Nicola Micieli, Ennio Pouchard, Marcello Venturoli, Piercarlo Santini, Vittorio Sgarbi, Eleonora Romiti, Gianluigi Ruggio, Marco Palamidessi. His works are found in public and private collections in Italy and abroad.Infoline: 0584 760854/338 9770762Circolo CasAleVia della Resistenza 1210Ripa Seravezza (LU)

Life and Color
The singular pictorial personality of Gualtieri Passani, now ninety-one, will be on display from Saturday 9 December until 7 January in the Sala delle Grasce of the Cloister of Sant'Agostino with a collection of works that accompany the visitor in the multifaceted artistic experience of the teacher. In over 60 years of painting, Passani, artist from Carrara, born in 1926, has experimented every technique, from drawing to tempera, to the assembly of various materials, but what is striking in his work, as well as in his biography, is the will to preserve a proud autonomy in the artistic life. While coming into contact with the likes of Ardengo Soffici, Ottone Rosai, Pablo Picasso and many others, in the seventies he moved away from the public scene in order not to be influenced from the market and retires to an isolated life in a home-studio in Lucca where he receives, very sparingly, his collectors. The poetics of Passani never remains immobile, but continues to experiment and his production ranges from Impressionism to Futurism, from Expressionism to Metaphysics, to Abstractionism, to the Informal; free to research looking at everyone and everything, but remaining free from any influence because in him it remains a priority to give voice to their emotions. On December 9th at 18.30 the inauguration is scheduled with presentation in Sala dell'Annunziata,Participation is free.An exhibition promoted by the Municipality of Pietrasanta, Fondazione Versiliana and START, with the collaboration of the Centro Studi d'Arte Lorenzo Pacini./p>

Lace Shunga Cinnamon
Susanna Orlando Gallery is pleased to present a special edition of eleven copies of Piero Pizzi Cannella inspired by Japanese erotic art. The exhibition will inaugurate on December 8, 2017 and will feature an extraordinary set-up of eleven pieces of Pizzi Cannella. The artist's interest in the Orient and Oriental aesthetics arises from his consideration of Japanese art as a mysterious and precious language at the same time and opens his mind to a sort of imagination. The master does not tell us a story, but a fairy tale, a refined collection of works that describe the figures of Eastern lovers as in a dream because they are eternal. The shunga strike because of their audacity depicted, however, with delicacy and invite the guest to enter into the heart of the work. These bold images possess a force that goes beyond the represented scene, combined with sinuous and refined lines. In this way, Japanese lovers become witness to the sensuality of painting, so eros becomes art and art becomes eros. The love also told in the most daring eroticism is raised to a sort of sacredness. This is the ideal scenario from which the shunga is born and one of the secrets of its sophistication, essential elements in the work of the Roman artist whose strong emotional charge is capable of vibrating our soul. The precious collection of engravings comes from the folder that contains them and is presented in the style of the gallery in a dedicated set for which a precious Rubelli fabric was chosen.
